Thirayuth Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer of Centara Hotels & Resorts, has announced the appointment of Wim N.M. Fagel as General Manager for Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok.
Fagel is a Dutch national from the Netherlands with over 30 years of experience in management at many international leading hotels both in Asia and Europe.
From 1999 – 2003, he was the Managing Director of the Summit Hotel and Summit Nepal Trekking in Kathmandu. Fagel moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2003 where he worked as General Manager for Amari Rincome, then transferred to Amari Residences Bangkok in 2009.
Joining Centara Hotels & Resorts in 2012 as General Manager of Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel Bangkok, Fagel was later promoted to Area General Manager Indonesia in 2014, assisting in overseeing the rapid expansion of Centara.
More recently at the beginning of 2015, Fagel joined the team at the corporate offices of Centara Hotels & Resorts in Bangkok, where he continued as the Area GM Indonesia while also supporting many operational activities.

Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok is the first property that Centara Hotels & Resorts opened, over 30 years ago. The five-star property is the first integrated hotel, shopping and convention destination in Thailand. There is easy access to the Bangkok Convention Centre Hall as well as the Central Plaza shopping complex.
