Centara opens Vietnam sales office

centraraCentara Hotels & Resorts has opened a sales office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to serve the growing regional market as Thailand’s leading hotel management company continues to expand.

Nguyen Thuy Y Nhu (Jenny), a Vietnamese national with nine years’ experience in international sales, marketing and public relations will head the new office.

The office will act as support for Centara’s hotels in Vietnam, of which there are at present two, with a third soon to be announced, and also help raise the profile of its properties in Thailand, Bali, Shanghai, the Maldives, Mauritius and Sri Lanka.

“Our strategy is to increase the number of our own sales offices throughout the Asia and Indian Ocean regions and in other key markets,” says Chris Bailey, senior vice president for sales and marketing at Centara Hotels & Resorts.

“Our Vietnam office will handle both sales and promotional activities, and also support our recently launched loyalty card, Centara – The 1 Card.”

Jenny Nguyen, a graduate of the Natural and Science University of Vietnam, had previously spent two years promoting the Genting Group’s Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore to the Vietnamese market. Prior to joining Centara, she had spent a year as business development manager of Nagaworld Cambodia.
