The sixth Secret Somerset Sea Walk takes visitors on an easy circular walk aroundSt Audries beach. The walk is an ideal one for families, who can enjoy the rock pools, waterfall and fossils.

The walk leads down to the beach, taking in everything from the amazing views to the beautiful waterfall that cascades down onto it. The bay is sheltered and budding young David Attenboroughs can play amongst the rock pools, on the and look out for shrimps and crabs as well as remains of fossilised sea creatures dating back to the Jurassic period.

The walk is part of a ten-week campaign to inspire walkers to get out and discover new ‘secret sea walks’. A new walk will be published each week on the Visit Somerset website:

The campaign also offers walkers the chance of winning £500 worth of camera or outdoor gear if they contribute and share their favourite ‘secret’ or photograph from the walk – via social media using the hashtag #secretseawalks.

This project is funded by Natural England and the Hinkley Tourism Action Partnership made up of EDF Energy, Somerset County Council, Sedgemoor District Council, West Somerset Council, Visit Somerset, Exmoor National Park Authority and Visit Exmoor.
