The Historic Village Herberton has embraced a new name for the new year.

Owners Craig and Connie Kimberley said it was an exciting step to rebrand the Village this year, following 12 months of highlights in 2013.

“We had such a fantastic year and we would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support.

“We opened a number of new exhibits including the Police and Aboriginal Exhibit and work commenced on the working sawmill and John Deere tractor shed over the river, which we are really excited about.

“These two new exhibits will open later this year,” Craig added.

Along with a new name, the Village has also changed its opening hours to accommodate seasonal visitation.

“As the industry shifts into its traditional quiet period leading up to Easter, we will now have high and low season opening hours,” Craig added.

“We will still be open all day, however will be opening one hour later in the morning and will close one hour earlier in the evening.

“Visitors can still expect the same wonderful experience at the Village,” Craig added.

HIGH AND LOW OPENING HOURS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

The Historic Village Herberton will open daily (except Christmas Day) from 9am – 5pm in the high season, 10am-4pm during the low season, and after hours by prior arrangement.

High Season Dates:
March to October and the Christmas holiday period from 26th December, 2013 to 27th January, 2014

Low Season Dates:
February to mid March and November to Christmas Day, 2014
