Changes in management of Product, Procurement and Communications

July 11, 2014 Appointments No Comments Email Email

The process has started, with Ms. Edyta Peszko’s promotion to Group Procurement & Product Director for Diethelm Travel Group. The role will allow Edyta to develop the product portfolios across our entire network, including the development of a new product line.

To support Edyta, the procurement and product functions across our operations will be strengthened – with the first changes taking place in Thailand.

We say a fond farewell to Mrs. Niki Schachner, who will be retiring after a long and successful tenure with Diethelm Travel Thailand. Niki will be leaving the company in early August 2014 and we thank her for her dedication – wishing her all very best for the future.

Mr. Simone Persano takes over the role of Product Manager – Diethelm Travel Thailand. Simone brings with him a wealth of experience in product management and operations gained in previous roles at DMC’s, while working and residing in various countries in Southeast Asia.

The Regional Sales & Marketing team will be joined by Ms. Siprang Srinarintranon, our new Regional Marketing & Communications Manager; with a remit to ensure effective communication and promotion of our products. This position signifies the start of a process to restructure our internal and external communications, including our web presence and social media activities. Khun Siprang gained her experience at a well-known international healthcare company and joins us this month.

In addition to these announcements, we continue our 4-day intensive tour guide training programme – focused on creating “Journeys of a Lifetime” and have now completed sessions in Myanmar, Laos and Sri Lanka, with Vietnam to follow this month. The sessions are led by service industry training specialist Ms. Leesa Lovelace, who has many years of tourism experience in Southeast Asia, particularly working with businesses where exceptionally high standards of service are required on a day-to-day basis. We place great emphasis on our guides and, as representatives of our brand and service, are expected to leave each visiting guest with an indelible memory of their experiences and time in our care, whilst in Asia. The guide training programme is part of a larger project, involving a newly launched Service Manual, covering all aspects of Diethelm’s service standards.
