Changes to Pinpoint Travel Group

The purpose of this email is to advise you of a change to our business to be announced to the industry today. Pinpoint Travel Group Pty Ltd has agreed to sell its wholesale business, under the Freestyle Holidays and Rosie Holidays brands, to Si Travel Group. Pinpoint Travel Group Pty Ltd will be retained by Mastercard for their Loyalty Solutions Travel business which continues unchanged.

The acquisition, effective December 1, will be Si Travel Group’s first major acquisition as it looks to position itself as a leader in wholesale distribution and service products in the travel industry.

Tui Eruera, Managing Director of Si Travel Group, said “We are very excited to be taking on such a well-respected Australian wholesale business as it will significantly scale and broaden our expertise in the travel industry and form a solid base for further business developments in the future.”

This acquisition forms a key part of Si Travel Group’s business acquisition strategy to seek growth opportunities in the travel and tourism sector.

“We have an appetite for businesses that can be improved through technology, and we see Freestyle Holidays as an opportunity to invest and incorporate new technology platforms to accelerate growth.”

Freestyle Holidays will be moved from their current Rozelle offices to Si Travel Group’s headquarters in Balmain.

This represents an important step forward for the wholesale brands, with a committed purchaser intent on ensuring that the brands grow and prosper. And importantly it presents the opportunity for job continuity and growth for our dedicated staff who will also transfer to the new company.

We want to reassure you that although there will be a change in ownership, you will still interact with the business in the same way you do now. The phone numbers will remain unchanged, the people you speak to are unchanged, and you will access in the same way. All of your un-departed bookings will transfer seamlessly to the new owners and will continue to be serviced exactly as they are now.

We’ll provide new contact and payment information well before the transfer, which is expected to occur in early December.

This change represents a new era for wholesale travel business and we look forward to continuing to work with you under the new ownership.
