Two of Australia’s favourite sportspeople, cricket great Merv Hughes and Olympian Michael Milton are hosting celebrity sports charity dinner at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa on Friday 22 April.

The event will raise money for cancer research through the Smiling for Smiddy Foundation and includes a welcome drink, canapes, a two-course meal and inspirational presentations from both Merv Hughes and Michael Milton.

Tickets are $100 per person and are available online or by calling 6451 3000 for reservations.

Accommodation packages are available from $199 per room per night (for a two night stay).

The Smiling for Smiddy Foundation is a charity close to the heart of those who work at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa due to the resort’s relationship with cycling and triathlons.

The charity commemorates Adam Smiddy, a talented triathlete and physiotherapist cut down in his prime by an aggressive melanoma in 2006.  To date, Smiling for Smiddy events have raised more than $5 million for cancer research.

In June, Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa staff member and cycling enthusiast Craig Trevallion will undertake a gruelling 1700km road ride from Adelaide to Uluru to raise funds for the Smiling for Smiddy Foundation.
