What do you do if you don’t like your in-flight meal? Perhaps post of picture of it on social media.

One Qantas customer has done just that.

“Plane food courtesy of @Qantas. I saw better looking meals when I was locked up un solitary confinment in a Beirut jail cell,” wrote Twitter user Assad Tannous, above a picture of the meal in question.

He added: “At what point do they look at this and think, ‘Lets serve this to our customers, that looks great’.. 😂 😂”

Tannous lists himself on Twitter as “Head Trader and founder of Asenna Capital. Two top 10 finishes in the 2007 and 2008 CMC Trading Competitions.” @AsennaWealth

He did not identify the flight on which the meal had been served.

The picture, and Tannous’s jibe, drew a lot of lively banter and light-hearted chat on Twitter.

Entertaining comments followed about other things – including a bouquet from Tannous for the Perth InterContinental hotel: https://twitter.com/AsennaWealth
