Recently refurbished luxury boutique hotel Lindenderry at Red Hill will be showing off its multi-million dollar facelift to attentive food lovers with the announcement of their Gourmet Weekend hosted by guest chef Ben Devlin from the renowned Paper Daisy restaurant at Halcyon House.

Running from Friday 18th May until Sunday 20th May, the epicurean getaway will allow guests to learn culinary skills from one of the hottest young chefs in Australia with an intimate masterclass with Ben Devlin, as well as enjoy cocktails and canapes overlooking the breathtaking Lindenderry vineyard and indulge in a one-of-a-kind four-course dinner with paired wines by Ben Devlin and the team from Lindenderry’s Dining Room.

With a stunning refurbishment by Hecker Guthrie, the Lindenderry Dining Room re-launched in January to overwhelming praise. Offering a similar simple yet sophisticated approach to food as Ben Devlin, executive chef Paul Withington (formerly London Soho House, Port Phillip Estate) has injected new flare with a menu that celebrates the best regional produce. In this exclusive Gourmet Weekend, guests will get a taste of Witherington’s style and experience food created by one of Australia’s best regional chefs, Ben Devlin.

Under Devlin’s helm, Paper Daisy at Halcyon House is a hatted restaurant and has been awarded Regional Restaurant of the Year in the coveted Sydney Morning Herald 2017 Good Food Guide Awards, ensuring guests a truly memorable gourmet experience.

Of the guest chef opportunity Ben said, “it’s an honour to be invited to be guest chef for Lindenderry’s first Gourmet Weekend event since its refurbishment and I’m really excited to be cooking in the bountiful Mornington area in autumn.  I love to cook using local produce and there might be wild mushrooms around the property as well as beautiful fruits that I can incorporate into the menu. It will also be a beautiful setting to spend some time in and very different from my beach environment.”

Lindenderry is located in the very heart of Red Hill, an old farming community abundant with fresh produce which Witherington uses daily. He said, “I’m looking forward to working with Ben as I love his approach to food, it has a simple elegance about it. Ben’s passion for keeping things uncomplicated and using locally grown ingredients translates directly to what we are trying to achieve at Lindenderry. I know that my team and guests alike will take a lot away from the weekend, with an expanded knowledge on our amazing local produce.”

With Lindenderry’s luxurious new interiors set on 34 acres of gorgeous gardens and vineyards to enjoy, the property is the perfect location for a weekend gourmet escape.

Weekend packages range from $725 for a Courtyard Room and one ticket to the showpiece dinner to $1580 for a Garden Room and tickets for two to all the weekend gourmet experiences (welcome drinks, masterclass, showpiece dinner and breakfast daily).  In addition guests are able to purchase tickets to experience just the showpiece dinner with Ben Devlin for $185 per person.
