Chi, The Spa At Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai Presents ‘Jade Lifting Facial And Anti-Puffy Eye Treatment’
Drawing inspiration from ancient Chinese philosophies, CHI, The Spa at Pudong Shangri-La launches the Jade Lifting Signature Facial and Anti-Puffy Eye Treatment at a special offer of only RMB1,380 (regular price RMB2,160) for a 90-minute treatment this December.
With the uniquely designed CHI jade tool and facial massage technique, the treatment stimulates lymphatic drainage and increases oxygen supply to the face by improving circulation, thus enhancing its general bloom and radiance.
The Imperial Jade Facial speeds up the drainage system of the face, thereby reducing residual puffiness and any congestion caused by stagnation in the jaw line, where toxins are prone to accumulate. The use of cool jade further improves lymphatic drainage around the eyes, the most common site of blockage. It can reduce discoloration sometimes caused by dark shadows.
As early as 3000 BC, jade has been known in China as the “royal gem” and was used not only to make the finest objects and cult figures, but also as treatments for high-ranking members of the imperial family. One of the items that the last empress of China, Ci’Xi, is said to have used to keep her face looking healthy until the end of her days was a fade face-roller.
In gemstone therapy, jade is known to stimulate creativity and mental agility, while also having a balancing and harmonising effect. It is known as androgynous (contains both yin and yang energies) and is, therefore, considered to have a gentle, steady pulse of healing energy that helps to get rid of negative thoughts and/or energy, thus binding the person to the Earth energies and their physical instincts, strengthening the body’s filtration and cleansing systems, and assisting in the removal of toxins.
Guests may book the ‘Jade Lifting Signature Facial and Anti-Puffy Eye treatment’ at Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai by contacting CHI, The Spa on 2828 7601, or sending an e-mail to [email protected]
The offer is valid until December 31, 2016 and cannot be availed in conjunction with other promotions. Advance booking is required and is subject to availability. All prices are in RMB and subject to 10% service charge and 6% VAT. CHI, the Spa is open daily from 10am until midnight.
