CHI, The Spa Uncovers New Light Through Spiritual Healing

May 17, 2014 Spa & Wellness No Comments Email Email

CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney takes guests on a new kind of journey with the spa’s signature experience, the Sodashi Healing Chakra Treatment.

As the most intriguing item on the menu at CHI, the Healing Chakra Treatment proves to be not only an opportunity for deep relaxation, but also an unexpected spiritual and emotional reawakening for guests.

The journey begins with a hidden selection of chakra crystals and oils, which instantly identify to the therapist the areas of the guest’s physical and emotional state that may be unbalanced or need repairing.  Deeply meditative, this experience aligns the body’s seven main chakras through a fluid 296504_num823948_600x600combination of massage, specific essential oil blends and healing crystals.  The therapist then evaluates the body’s overall energy and shares emotional guidance.

Chakras are energy centres along the spine located at major hubs of the human nervous system.  Over time, they may become unbalanced or blocked.  This treatment is designed to rebalance chakra points within the body, such as the heart, crown and throat chakras, to increase physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Recent guests who have experienced the treatment said that they felt like being ‘transported to a wondrous place’, the treatment was ‘life-changing’ and thanked our team at CHI for ‘lighting my path’.

Developed by CHI’s partner Sodashi Skincare, the Healing Chakra Treatment is perfectly suited to the spa’s unique concept inspired by the origins of the Shangri-La legend – a place of inner peace, enchantment and well-being.

“I didn’t know what to expect from this treatment, but went in with an open mind and was completely moved by the experience.  My therapist was deeply connected to healing therapy on every level and my time with her has left an unforgettable imprint on my own connection to energy work,” said internationally renowned spa expert Nigel Franklyn, The Spa Whisperer.  “It’s difficult for me to recommend just one single treatment at CHI, The Spa, but I would definitely recommend you put the Healing Chakra Treatment firmly on your bucket list!”

CHI was recently awarded the prestigious title of “Best Luxury Hotel Spa” in Australia at the 2014 World Luxury Spa Awards, receiving praise for truly special treatments delivered by a team of warm and talented therapists.

CHI features six luxurious private spa suites and offers guests 17 treatments consisting of body massages, scrubs, wraps, facials and movement of the mind through relaxation to assist the body’s natural renewal and form the basis of the CHI philosophy.  Each of the six suites is a “spa within a spa” for guests to indulge in the luxury of personal space, providing them their own private changing area and, for some, an aroma steam shower to enjoy before treatments.
