Chic Outlet Shopping® Announces Its Fall Campaign, ‘A Touch Of Chic’ – A Celebration Of The Craftsmanship And Artistic Heritage Of Luxury Brands

Chic Outlet Shopping®, the Collection of nine luxury outlet shopping Villages by Value Retail, is celebrating all that is warming, natural and chic this fall, through the heritage of luxury brands.

A luxury brand is defined not only by design but also exquisite craftsmanship that lasts season after season. This incomparable quality comes to the fore across the nine Chic Outlet Shopping® Villages in Europe. With a host of exciting new brands arriving across the Collection of Villages this season and up to 60%, and sometimes more, off recommended retail prices, this is sure to be the perfect wardrobe update for even the most discerning of visitors.

The ‘A Touch of Chic’ campaign, running until 31 October, will offer a variety of ways for guests to participate in the celebration. Each of the Villages will feature sculptural woollen art installations by The Uniqverse Studio, and will host its own unique events and initiatives.

La Vallée Village in Paris will host a stand at the Révélations Fine Art and Creation Fair at the Grand Palais in Paris, from 11-15 September, to showcase the work of young craftspeople. Espace La Vallée® Village, the Village’s art gallery, will host an accompanying art exhibition from 20 September through to 12 January 2014.

Fidenza Village in Milan will partner with Gomitolo Rosa, an organisation that promotes the work of women’s associations which support women’s health, and at the same time, promotes the conservation of native wool.

Ingolstadt Village in Munich and Wertheim Village in Frankfurt will be hosting a series of events to support the breast cancer charity Mamazone, supported by top model Eva Padberg, including an event to celebrate knitting. These will be held on 18-19 October in Wertheim Village, and 11-12 October in Ingolstadt Village. As October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on these days visitors will be invited to purchase skeins of pink wool, with the proceeds donated to the charity. This wool can then be knitted – by the visitor or by a knitter on-site – into a blanket for a breast cancer patient, which, before being presented to the patient, will be sewn into what organisers are hoping will be the world’s largest survival blanket. The German Villages will also offer a limited edition A Touch of Chic shopping package, which also includes a ball of wool for the project.

Maasmechelen Village in Brussels will be launching the Belgian Pavilion, a pop-up store featuring a mix of renowned and up-and-coming Belgian talent.  The Belgian Promenade will highlight the heritage of Belgium’s brands, future talent, art and culture.

Spain Makes, the concept boutique at Las Rozas Village in Madrid, will feature the work of skilled Spanish craftsmen, while shoppers can participate/take part in knitting workshops.

At La Roca Village in Barcelona, Jo H Dawson (of H Dawson Wool, worldwide wool experts for 125 years), and young American knitwear designer Lindsay Degen will take part in a colloquium with other fashion experts, to discuss wool as a new luxury trend. Degen will also give a masterclass to fashion students in Madrid and Barcelona.

To further celebrate A Touch of Chic, Chic Outlet Shopping® has released a film entitled ‘Wool Trends.’ In the film, Estrella Archs of the Uniqverse Studio casts her expert eye over the season’s most covetable wool pieces. Watch it here
