Chimu Adventures has unveiled its new dedicated Antarctica brochure for 2017/18, the largest Antarctica collection in the market, covering the widest range of itineraries, vessels and activities available to the Kiwi traveller.

Building upon its existing diverse product portfolio, the new all-encompassing programme features even more options for travellers destined for the Antarctic continent and surrounds with a number of new itineraries and activities providing agents and their clients with more choice and flexibility than ever before.

New for 2017/18 are:

–          Shackleton’s Antarctica (priced from NZD$19,885 per person): Travelling on an exclusive charter, unique to Chimu Adventures, this 18-day exploration cruises in the wake of Sir Ernest Shackleton taking in some of the world’s most impressive views of inspiring scenery and wildlife.

–          Frozen Frontier (priced from NZD$12978 per person): This is an exclusive 11-day fundraising voyage, organised by Chimu in conjunction with MAD Project, taking in the spectacular highlights the glacier paradise has to offer.

–          In the Wake of Mawson (priced from NZD$26,576 per person): This exclusive 26-day expedition, retracing the footsteps of Sir Douglas Mawson, is a collaboration between Chimu and Mawson’s Hut Foundation, giving guests exclusive access to the very rare tourist ships departing Hobart, Australia for East Antarctica.

–          Interior Antarctic Experiences: Designed for those who want to venture beyond Antarctica’s coast and experience adventure ‘on the ice’, the Interior Antarctic Experiences allow guests to explore the South Pole, take in spectacular views from some of Antarctica’s highest peaks or pay a visit to an emperor penguin rockery.

New for 2017 is also the possibility to experience Antarctica in a day, a 12.5-hour sightseeing flight departing Sydney, Melbourne or Perth, a great way to explore Antarctica for those travellers that are limited on time and budget.

“We are always looking for the best ways to support our agent partners when selling our product and therefore tried to come up with a brochure design that we hope will become a ‘go to’ for Antarctica product as it’s filled with all the information they need, making it easier than ever to sell this popular destination with confidence” said Rachel Williams, managing director of Chimu Adventures in New Zealand.

“We are particularly excited about the opportunity of offering a fundraising voyage to travellers who want to give back while travelling. Making a difference to challenged communities, the environment and historical preservation are causes very close to our hearts that we will be proud to support through our partnership with MAD Project.”

The brochure itself is now available through Brochure net and is currently being distributed to travel agents across the country.

To celebrate the launch of the brochure, Chimu currently offers a 20% early bird discount on the Shackleton’s Antarctica and Frozen Frontier itineraries for a limited time only!

Chimu Adventures specialises in personalised journeys, offering the client the flexibility of styling the itinerary to suit their needs. Chimu works with clients to fit their budget and taste.
