Chimu launch brand new brochure showcasing Latin America and Polar regions

Latin America and the Polar regions are the must-see destinations this year. Australia’s specialists in these areas, Chimu Adventures, have launched their new brochure which outlines their array of personalised itineraries, small group tours and small ship cruises. The glossy 115-page document features the iconic Torres del Paine in Patagonia on its cover and its pages take potential travellers on a journey to South and Central America, with a visit north to the Arctic and south to Antarctica.

The brochure includes new itineraries, experiences and angles:

  • Cuba – new small group itineraries with set departure dates which are ideal for solo travellers and those wanting a group dynamic. Itineraries include cycling, sailing and motorbike tours.
  • Galapagos Islands – new sailing options aboard the Daphne, as well as land options for those less keen on boats or for families at Galapagos Safari Camp and Finch Bay Hotel.
  • The Arctic – introducing Arctic Unveiled, Chimu’s inaugural exclusive cruise to Spitsbergen as well as the option to add a land option in Iceland.
  • Antarctica – Two new Chimu exclusive cruises to the white continent aboard brand new vessel, MV Hondius.
  • City discovery tours – these are not just stopovers but a chance to really get to know Latin America’s vibrant cities over a few days. Discover Santiago can include itinerary add-ons such as a food tour, a street art tour and a vineyard tour.
  • Accommodation – Chimu believe that where you stay is all part of your experience. They have sought out boutique and mostly locally run accommodation to bring you the most authentic experience. Standard, superior and deluxe accommodation options are available for all tailor made journeys – look out for the ‘Collection’ symbol in the brochure to identify trips with a touch of luxury.

It isn’t just product ideas that are featured in the new brochure. It starts with Chimu’s back story and ethos, travel styles and information about the not-for-profit causes that they support. Each destination section is introduced by a ‘What to see and do in…’ page with a striking image, map and three to four destination highlights to pique the readers’ interest before they turn the page for possible journeys. Specific activities, such as trekking in Peru and wildlife watching in the Galapagos Islands have dedicated visual guides outlining where to go and what to expect.

Chimu’s General Manager of Product and Sales, Sarah Baxter says: ‘Our new brochure isn’t about off the shelf itineraries. We like to think of it as an inspiring guide to the story behind Chimu Adventures, what we care about and the adventure that Latin America and the Polar regions hold. Our clients can use the brochure for ideas then develop those initial thoughts into their own bespoke journey with one of our destination specialists, completely based on their interests and budget.’

To coincide with the launch of this brochure, Chimu are offering discounts of up to 35% on selected Antarctica itineraries, 20% off Latin America and 16% off the Arctic until the 31st March 2018.
