China Southern Adds New York to Canton Route Network

3D imageryChina Southern Airlines will begin flying to the East Coast of America on August 6, using a new generation Boeing 777-300ER long-haul aircraft between its Guangzhou hub and New York’s JFK airport.

A special feature of the new four times a week service will be an enhanced Premium Economy section and the world’s most advanced inflight passenger system with China Southern becoming the launch customer for Thales TopSeries AVANT touch screen technology.

On sale from June 1, hot introductory fares start from $1554* in Economy Class, $2154* in Premium Economy and $6554* in Business Class from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth via Guangzhou, where new regulations allow through passengers to stop over in the airline’s thriving hub city of Guangzhou for up to 72 hours.

“We’re doubly excited that we are able to do so using one of our new B777-300 extended range airliners that includes an enhanced Premium Economy section for passengers wanting a bit more space and comfort on the long-haul flight,” he added.

China Southern’s Boeing 777-300ER accommodates a total 309 passengers in the following configuration:

First Class – Four 82” x 33” luxury lay-flat seats in a partitioned suite with a 23” personal HD entertainment screen and Touch PMU handset.

GUN 777-300ER WE396 1173 - China SouthernBusiness Class 32 76“ x 29” lay-flat seats in a staggered 1-2-1 layout which combined with upper deck privacy creates an independent room plus personal HD entertainment screen and Touch PMU handset.

Premium Economy Class – 44 seats with a 38” pitch (six inches more than traditional economy class) and 123 degree recline plus a 10.6” personal screen.

Economy Class 227 32” x 19” seats with adjustable headrest and footrest, slimline frame design and 8.9” personal entertainment screens.
