It’s an exciting time for Choice to expand its offerings in the WA market.”

Tourism is vitally important to the WA economy, injecting more than $9 billion into the State economy each year and creating more than 94,000 jobs for the people of Western Australia.

“With overnight visitor numbers growing in Perth, and a number of key infrastructure projects on the horizon that will benefit tourists, the popularity of WA’s capital city is only going to increase,” Mr Fraser added.

The WA capital is increasingly attracting visitors from within Australia, with an 18.2% increase in interstate overnight visitors over the same period.

Over the last 12 months the North West region of Australia has seen a surge in tourism with a 14.1% increase in the number of overnight visitors and an 18.8% growth in overnight visitor spend.

“We’re delighted to add two new CBD properties to our portfolio, plus another property in the states north. These three new properties will perfectly compliment the other WA hotels under our franchise group and give travellers even more choice,” Mr Fraser said.

All three properties are owned by Australia Pacific Hotels Group and will now benefit from Choice Hotels’ global brands and expertise in distribution, sales, marketing and operational support.
