Patrons can enjoy distinct curated culinary events this year at Istanbul’s Çırağan Palace Kempinski. The former Ottoman palace offers guests the quintessential luxury experience with the finest accommodations, experience and exquisite fare.
Guests sit down for the ultimate Ottoman dining experience at Tuğra Restaurant & Lounge, one of the resort’s two exquisite restaurants. Opulent Ottoman décor fills the room, which itself is set amidst the stirring backdrop of the Bosphorus. With specialties like Lamb Külbastı and Testi Kebab, Tuğra offers authentic Ottoman cuisine certain to leave guests reminiscing about the sultans, and perhaps feeling like sultans themselves!
Breakfasts and lunches are meanwhile spent at the resort’s second restaurant, Laledan. Here, guests again enjoy a splendid view of the Bosphorus while also indulging in a rich breakfast buffet, made almost entirely by locally sourced organic ingredients. From noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays, they can even partake in one of Çırağan’s legendary brunches, an opulent affair with an array of delicacies specially handcrafted foradults and children alike.

Chief Giovanni Vaccaro: Chef de Cuisine ‘Art’ Monie’
From November 9-November 22, Sicily-born chef Giovanni Vacarro will bring Italy to Tuğra Restaurant. After gaining experience at reputable institutions like the Palais Grand Ducal and Le Grand Duc, Vacarro spent 12 years as the Executive Chef at Luxembourg’s Hotel Sofitel Europe before opening his own restaurant in Luxembourg, Art’ Monie. Using seasonal and high quality ingredients, he designs his recipes always to reflect the Italian flavoring on which he was raised.
Diners who choose to partake in Laledan’s Italian-themed evening can order from selection of 12 risotto and pasta specialty dishes a la carte. They may also participate in an Italian cooking demonstration by Chef Giovanni Vaccaro, held during Sunday brunch.

Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne Dinner
Leading champagne producer Louis Roederer will join Executive Chef Sezai Erdoğan in creating an exclusive champagne dinner at Çırağan Palace Kempinski’s Tuğra Restaurant. World famous for its Champagne Cristal, Louis Roederer created the first cuvee in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes of Russian Tsar Alexander II. Particularly fond of Louis Roederer’s house wine, the tsar requested that this cuvee be served in a flat-bottomed, transparent lead-crystal bottle, thus the brand Champagne Cristal.
Twenty guests will have the opportunity to indulge in Louis Roederer’s Cristal and learn more about its fascinating history from the champagne house manager, Charles Fournier, during Tuğra’s Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne Dinner on December 3.
