CLIA Australasia will play a part in the development of a unified international travel agent education program as part of the new global CLIA structure.

CLIA Australasia General Manager Brett Jardine and Training and Development Manager Peter Kollar recently travelled to Vancouver for the annual cruise3sixty conference where it was decided that CLIA Australasia would work with the CLIA UK and CLIA US offices to develop a new global cruise industry accreditation scheme.

“Training is vital when it comes to travel consultants’ ability to sell cruise holidays. Our markets are leaders in this field, and it’s no coincidence that we have the highest population penetration rates for cruising anywhere in the world,” Mr Jardine said.

“By combining the best available resources from each of the different markets we will be able to deliver a global standard with consistent learning outcomes at all levels of accreditation that will eventually be available to travel agents worldwide.”
