Kicking off the first of its quarterly series, will be a multi-sensory culinary experience, specially curated by world-renowned Chef Jozef Youssef and musical virtuoso Tze Toh. Launching at Club Med’s Exclusive Collection at Finolhu Villas on 30 August 2018, Chef Patron and Founder of Kitchen Theory Chef Jozef and award-winning Composer-Pianist Tze Toh, will be taking guests on an amalgamation of immersive and unique experience with their carefully curated menu and accompanying musical pieces.
A 4-course menu designed by Chef Jozef himself tells of a story as the dining room transforms with dynamic projects on the surrounding furniture and each dish carefully crafted with visual elements to bring out the flavours. To complete the story, specially selected pieces by Tze will play to further elevate the guests’ experience and delight senses to influence the characteristics of the various dishes. Firing imagination and highlighting senses may boost sweetness or enhance the umami flavours of the food.

Masterminds Behind the Multi-Sensory Experience
Jozef Youssef – Kitchen Theory Founder & Chef Patron Author of Molecular Gastronomy at Home
Jozef is the creative force behind Kitchen Theory’s experimental dining events and corporate senseplorations. The multi-sensory experiences are an extension of his research into the fascinating world of Sensory Gastronomy, for which, research is carried out in collaboration with Charles Spence of Oxford University’s Crossmodal Department. Jozef worked in London’s most highly acclaimed Michelin star restaurants such as The Fat Duck and 5 star hotels including Helene Darroze at the Connaught, The Dorchester Hotel.
Tze Toh – Composer Pianist
Award-winning Composer-pianist, Tze has worked on a diverse array of productions, creating music for full-length feature films, animation, documentaries, contemporary dance, Asian / world fusion albums, and experimental projects/conceptual works.
His music has been performed internationally incl. Brazil, France, Spain, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Japan. He has written music for Cartier, Toyota, Porsche, Discovery Channel, film maker Royston Tan, Yamaha/Bosendorfer, Club Vivre and Singapore International Foundation.
An exceptionally versatile pianist, Tze Toh was described by The Straits Times as “an extraordinary musician whose idiom straddles comfortably between genres of classical, jazz, world and film music” and “possesses an original voice”.
