Cocotte Brings French Chic To The Table This Festive Season

 Cocotte’s festive menus are a reflection of Chef Petrous’ attention to detail that puts an edge to French cuisine. Focusing on seasonal ingredients, Cocotte’s menu presents a refined and modern take on French favourites. Cocotte deconstructs the classics, setting the scene for a relaxed meal out with interesting food, wines, and company this season.

 On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Cocotte’s culinary team will serve up coveted delights with a 7-course dinner menu (HKD988 per person) starting with a mix of Crème de Chorizo sprinkled with olive dust and parmesan tuile followed by the Cardamon Infused Butternut Soup. The smell of the irresistible Poached Lobster is a Christmas classic cooked in a vegetable broth, grapefruit and yoghurt vinaigrette and sucrine. Embodying vibrant flavours of romanesco, artichoke mousseline and blackcurrant sauce, the Duck Breast is a tender delight. The rich and juicy Braised Kobe Beef is served as a gratin topped with winter black truffle. Keeping with Cocotte’s festive menu, guests are offered a selection of artisanal cheeses and the indulgent Traditional Christmas Log.  Bid au revoir to 2015 with an extravagant feast where the taste is Paris is seen through the intricacy of every dish. The New Year’s Eve7-course menu (HKD988 per person) pays homage to his French homeland and a festive tradition of seafood. Cocotte’s Oyster is plated with lemongrass foam, avocado, winter radish and shiso. An ode to Parisian roots, Chef Petrous’ Foie Gras Terrine is a captivating palate of kampot pepper, redcurrant jelly and brioche. Hokkaïdo Scallops Tartare rings in the New Year with fresh garnishes such as chive and baby red beet with an emulsion of saffron. The combination of braised baby fennel and smoked barley dipped in tarragon and lobster jus makes for an edgy French Turbot. A meat lover favourite, Wagyu Beef Pavé combines Jerusalem artichoke, young turnip and bone marrow soaked in rosemary jus in. The lightness of the orange blossom infused Grapefruit paired with winter pear and umeshu jel is set to satisfy and dinner tops off with the ever so tempting Chocolate Tower served with pistachio macaron, candied physalis and goji sauce.
