Cocotte: Enjoy a touch of Paris on your weekend with Cocotte Brunch Weekends just got better in the charming NoHo neighbourhood bistro

The French truly know how to live life to the fullest and bring a touch of elegance to brunch. Cocotte, the charming French bistro, has launched a Parisian brunch at the Central sanctuary with enticing dishes adding a unique touch to the weekend.

Brunch at Cocotte is an all-day affair of friends, family and great food. Crafted with only the freshest seasonal ingredients, the dishes are charmingly categorized as Good MorningLunch FareLes Oeufs or the Hangover Set.

“A mix of spontaneity, simplicity and modernity is brunch the quintessential French way,” says Brice Moldovan, the younger of the two brothers behind Cocotte. “We have simple yet delicious freshly baked bread, made irresistible by the addition of a slice of French cheese or ham, or truly indulgent dishes such as the Cocotte Burger with prime wagyu and a choice of Tomme de Savoire or Fourme d’Ambert. All in all, there’s a little something for everyone.”

Brioche and croissants are at the heart of any French breakfast and are front and centre on the Cocotte brunch menu. The Brioche Pain Perdu (HK$78), French toast decadently topped off with fresh berries, maple syrup and vanilla cream – exactly how the dish is found in the heart of Paris. Croissant au Jambon (HK$78) with country ham, gruyèrecheese and béchamel and Le Panier ($108) basket of freshly baked pastries and breads are the perfect example of a simple dish can be entirely tempting and totally satisfying.

Choices like the Granola Trifle (HK$78) with mixed nuts, fruit compote and yogurt, and Caprese Salad, “Cocotte Style”(HK$138) with burrata cheese, heirloom tomato, basil, hint of strawberry and aged balsamic are light and fresh whilst the filling dishes from the Lunch Fare section are cooked with simplicity to allow the flavours to shine through. Indulge in the Codfish Mediterranean Style (HK$148) and the Cocotte Burger (HK$188) made with prime wagyu beef, a choice of Tomme de Savoire or Fourme d’Ambert, balsamic caramelized onions, herb butter, tomatoes and homemade cocktail sauce served with salad and a side of pommes allumettes.

The Les Oeufs section features opulent egg dishes including Omelette Chèvre et Fines Herbes (HK$68) with goats cheese and pommes rissolées, Eggs en “Cocotte” (HK$118) of baked eggs, wild mushrooms, potato mousseline, baby spinach and pancetta and Two Eggs and His Minions (HK$88) – 2 eggs any style with roasted cherry tomatoes, pommes rissolées and a choice of bacon or sausage.

The Cocotte team are even prepared to nurse you hangover and have come up with a superb Hangover Set of aBloody or Virgin Mary spiked with horseradish & tabasco, a shot of espresso, smoked salmon plate and bagel and two eggs and his minions ($238) – hangover cured. Hangover Drinks include a Champagne pick-me-up of champagne, VSOP cognac, orange juice and grenadine ($108), Mimosa’s ($88), Bellini’s ($88), Bloody Mary’s ($78) and the refreshing Gin Fizz of gin, fresh lemon, syrup and club soda ($78). Guests can sip and swirl upon White wine, Rose wine and Red wine ($58) and a glass of Perrier-Jouët ($88) at discounted prices.

Fear not dessert lovers, Cocotte’s sinful desserts are still up for grabs with Crème Brulée, the flourless Chocolate Nemesis and the delightful Summer Tart with fresh berries and passion fruit and lemongrass cream being available during brunch hours at a steal of a deal for $68 each. Or do it in a French way: get some farm house mature cheese with seasonal accompaniments (1 for HK$48, 3 for HK$138) to end the meal.
