This spring, Hong Kong hospitality group Black Sheep Restaurants unveils Buenos Aires Polo Club. The highly anticipated Argentinian steakhouse revives the golden age of Buenos Aires in a luxurious space punctuated with equestrian antiques. Conveniently located on the seventh floor of Central’s LKF Tower, the handsome new concept is the 12th addition to the Black Sheep Restaurants family.
Paying homage to Argentina’s dynamic grilling culture, Executive Chef Felipe Lopez’s menu highlights choice cuts of free-roam Argentinian beef—grilled in the asado tradition—and is complemented by an extensive list of Argentine wines.
A night at Buenos Aires Polo Club is not complete without a visit to the refined bar. Inspired by the stateliness of Buenos Aires’ affluent Recoleta neighbourhood, the bar is home to the restaurant’s impressive cocktail programme which includes time honoured classics alongside inventive Argentine-style creations and a comprehensive selection of vermouths.
Buenos Aires Polo Club provides an unparalleled experience in masculine sophistication, reminiscent of the elite members only clubs of the early 1900’s. Featuring semi-private and private dining rooms, a rich wooden interior and painstakingly sourced collections of vintage equestrian antiques and steak knives, it is a beacon of old-world refinement in the midst of a modern city.
Moved by Argentina’s passion for the ‘sport of kings’, Buenos Aires Polo Club resurrects the opulent refinement of a bygone era. “The beauty of Buenos Aires, its fading elegance—that captivated us,” says Black Sheep Restaurants Co-founder Syed Asim Hussain, “we found a lost moment, something that doesn’t exist anymore, and we are pulling it back from history.”
Buenos Aires Polo Club will welcome diners in spring 2016.
