APT still has availability on its luxury small ship Gallipoli 2015 cruises which incorporate a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Australians and New Zealanders to pay tribute to their proud heritage, the courage of their ancestors and the Anzac spirit itself while exploring the ancient history of civilisation in Greece and Southern Turkey on a cruise of the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean.

Departing on 16 April 2015, the 17-day Ancient Mediterranean Luxury Cruise combines two nights at a five star hotel in Athens with 14 nights aboard a small ship, which APT has exclusively chartered.

Guests will sail aboard Le Soléal, a luxury private vessel and one of the most stunning yachts in the Mediterranean. With just over 100 staterooms and suites, this beautiful French ship features: an English-speaking crew; two restaurants, the Gastronomic Restaurant whereby every dish is crafted by French chefs and The Grill for more casual dining; three lounges and bar areas; a range eGlobal Media-ÃÇÁof outdoor decks; a pool, theatre, shop and fitness centre; a spa and beauty area; a medical centre; and a lift to all accommodation areas.  A butler service will also be available to guests staying in all staterooms and suites on deck six.

Taking a total of five countries and stopping at 11 ports, the cruise commences with visits to the sun-drenched locations of Santorini and Mykonos. It then pauses at Anzac Cove for guests to pay their respects and participate in a moving tour. Guests then travel to Istanbul to take in sights including the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace before returning to a location near Anzac Cove on the eve of the Dawn Service.

Those with an attendance pass will be escorted ashore around dusk to stay overnight under the stars, remaining guests will stay aboard to enjoy a presentation detailing the journey of the Anzacs and the reasons behind the battle.

On Saturday 25 April, guests at the site will bear witness to the official Anzac Day Dawn Service aboard Le Soléal with large onboard screens showing the actual ceremony. Once restrictions are lifted, APT hopes to offer all guests the opportunity to again go ashore to visit Anzac Cove on this very special day (subject to access restrictions).

The cruise continues with a coastal exploration of historic Troy, Southern Turkey, visiting Ephesus and Greeco-Roman Kusadasi for an insight into the Ancient Roman Empire.  Heading back across the Aegean Sea to Greece, guests cruise the remarkable Corinth Canal before visiting Delphi and the Ancient ruins of Temple of Apollo. Following this, the cruise enters the stunning Adriatic Sea, stopping first at Kotor, in Montenegro and then Dubrovnik (Croatia) where guests have the opportunity to explore the amazing marble lined streets and Cathedrals of this walled city.  Sightseeing choices include a culinary bicycle tour, kayaking, walking tours and cultural activities.  The luxury cruise concludes by sailing through the picturesque islands of the Adriatic Sea en route to its conclusion in Venice.

Priced from $19,390 per person, twin share, included are: 43 meals; all sightseeing, including seven Signature Experiences and Freedom of Choice sightseeing at six ports; an APT Cruise Director; complimentary beverages including champagne, wine, beer and top-shelf spirits throughout the ocean cruise; butler service available in all suites and staterooms on deck six; airport transfers; port charges; and all tipping.

The cruise can be extended with an extra two nights in Venice or can be combined with an eight day luxury land journey in either Greece or Turkey or a 14 night luxury river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam.

APT is offering a special saving of $1,000 per couple on either the 17-day or 19-day Ancient Mediterranean Luxury Cruise departing 16 April 2015. The deal applies when two people upgrade to either a prestige stateroom or suite on deck five and deck six and is valid until 15 April 2014.
