Confidence in conference commute at Brisbane Airport Hotels

Airport precincts are transforming themselves into spaces that offer more than just a terminal and with the newly opened Brisbane Airport Hotels Group, featuring the Pullman and Ibis hotels and the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre, Brisbane Airport precinct is now a conference and meeting hub that rivals many CBD facilities.

For corporate travellers, conferencing at or near the airport has never been easier both with new facilities and not to mention Brisbane Airtrain’s easy commute.

Situated between the newly developed Pullman and Ibis hotels, the 1,735sqm Conference Centre boasts thirteen conference and meeting rooms and a business centre, with the ability to cater for up to 600 people at any one time, making it the perfect space for companies and executives to meet for both one-day trips and extended visits.

Brisbane Airtrain CEO Chris Basche, said there is a great opportunity for conference delegates or meeting attendees based in Brisbane City to use Airtrain to access the new conference facility as the Domestic Airport is only 20 minutes by Airtrain.

We’re also excited to be working with the Pullman and Ibis hotels to provide easy and convenient transport for hotel guests and executive travellers who are travelling to and from Brisbane Airport to use the new Conference centre,” Mr Basche said.

“The Airtrain takes you directly to the domestic terminal, and from there it is only a four minute walk via a pedestrian walkway to the hotels, making it extremely convenient to access and saving the hassle of parking.

Launched in October, the conference facilities have been booked well in advance with companies taking advantage of the convenience of the new Centre.

“With more and more business executives travelling in Brisbane to attend meetings and conferences, often for one day, the Centre gives companies extra comfort with easy access to a meeting area the moment they step off the plane,” he said.

“The impressive number of pre-bookings for the use of the Centre is a strong indication of the positive passenger growth we expect Brisbane to experience over the coming years and beyond.”

Airtrain is the fastest, easiest and most cost-effective way to reach Brisbane City and the Gold Coast from Brisbane Airport, with trains departing every 15 minutes during peak periods.
