Conrad Chicago Reveals Three Food and Beverage Concepts in Partnership with Internationally cclaimed Richard Sandoval Restaurants

Conrad Chicago, opening this summer, is pleased to announce three new sophisticated restaurant concepts for its property. In partnership with famed chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval, all three restaurants will feature Conrad Chicago’s passionate and sophisticated surroundings by bringing big, bold flavors and inspired culinary experiences to the Magnificent Mile. A ground floor restaurant,Culaccino, will pay homage to the neighborhood’s Italian roots, while the top floor, Baptiste & Bottle, and rooftop, Casa Obake, will provide breathtaking panoramic city views.

All three restaurants – Baptiste & Bottle, Casa Obake, and Culaccino – will offer one-of-a-kind dining experiences complemented by Richard Sandoval’s culture-crossing flavors, bold presentations, and exceptional service.

Baptiste & Bottle, located on the 20th floor, will specialize in bourbon and provisions, serving a classic American menu that pairs hearty entrees with sharable plates such as salads, charcuterie, and flatbreads in a comfortable, modern tavern setting. Earning its namesake, Baptiste & Bottle will offer an impressive bar program with an attentive and unique “shaken, poured & stirred at-the-table” mixology philosophy. Groups will find the mixology experience entertaining and interactive with an impressive tableside barrel-aged cocktail share.


The Southside Mule is one of the Conrad Chicago’s refreshing craft cocktails served at Baptiste & Bottle, the hotel’s top floor restaurant.

A restaurant rooftop experience poised to make a big splash in the city’s social and gastro scenes featuring contemporary Japanese cuisine with some Latin influence, Casa Obake features stunning views and top-shelf cocktails. Guests will enjoy artfully prepared sushi and sashimi along with hibachi style Wagyu beef. Casa Obake’s interactive touches and Latin twist are sure to make it the go-to destination for locals and guests alike. Patrons will quench their thirst with Japanese sakes and beer while ordering from the sharable menu in an environment featuring a soothing aesthetic and Japanese décor.


Tuna Tartare Tacos among other shareable plates will be featured at the Conrad Chicago’s rooftop restaurant, Casa Obake.

Drawing on the heritage of the River North neighborhood once known as “Little Sicily,” the ground floor restaurant, Culaccino, is an intimate street-side Italian café offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It will feature locally roasted coffee, made-to-order breakfast paninis, Italian pastries, seasonal, fresh salads, and flatbread pizzas as well as savory Italian dishes. The café will focus on Italian and domestic beverages featuring Negronis on tap, Italian sodas, and an impressive wine bar. Surrounded by authentic Italian décor, patrons will interact with a uniquely urban and knowledgeable wait staff.  Literally meaning “the ring imprint on a table from a glass,” Culaccino will also leave a lasting impression with guests and locals alike.


The Conrad Chicago’s intimate Italian restaurant, Culaccino, features an homage to Chicago’s Little Sicily on the ground floor with dishes like decadent Porcini Risotto.
