WA Premier Colin Barnett and Far East Consortium Chairman Tan Sri Dato David Chiu today turned the sod on the first major project at Elizabeth Quay – a world class hotel and luxury apartment towers.
The $400 million* project incorporates 379 luxury residences, known as The Towers, and the 204 room Ritz-Carlton hotel.
Cottee Parker Architects has designed stand-out buildings with some key features. The floor-to-ceiling glass and rounded building shapes maximise the spectacular water views and the Winter Garden louvres allow residents to open a 2-to-3m section of their external wall to make the most of Perth’s amazing weather. This brings a whole new meaning to outdoor living in an apartment building.
The building’s six-star rating is also believed to be a first for a Perth apartment building, meaning The Towers has the best possible acoustic, thermal, energy efficiency and water saving technology.
