Asia is a continent which has long mystified and intrigued those who have visited and Contiki is bringing young travellers more of this breath-taking destination with the addition of five new itineraries and four new destinations to its 2017 Asia programme.

Whether its chasing waterfalls in Luang Prabang, carving through fresh powder on Japan’s ski slopes, sipping on Singapore Slings in their spiritual home or sleeping in a treehouse in Khao Sok, each carefully crafted Contiki itinerary is guaranteed to deliver countless #NoRegrets travel experiences and unique encounters. Contiki has made exciting new additions and improvements to its Asia offering for 2017 with 14 enriching itineraries across 10 countries and immersive experiences in India, Malaysia, Bali and Singapore for the first time.

Katrina Barry, Managing Director Contiki Australia, commented “We have been operating in Asia for over six years and we know this amazing destination and its travellers’ expectations extremely well. Asia continues to be one of the hottest destinations for young Australian travellers and we have responded to their intrigue and love of this region with the introduction of five new experiences for 2017 with trips to extraordinary destinations, including incredible India and the Lion City of Singapore, for the first time. Our range of MeTime Optionals, unique special stays and unrivalled #NoRegrets experiences ensure Contiki is unparalleled when it comes to diversity and memorability.”

NEW Itineraries for 2017:

Laos & Cambodia Uncovered: part of Contiki’s ‘Discoverer’ travel style designed to show travellers as many amazing destinations as possible, this 9-day new itinerary will visit Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, Vinetiane, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap where travellers can catch the first rays of the day over the iconic Angkor Watt Temple.

Bangkok to Singapore Adventure: also a ‘Discoverer’ itinerary, this new trip will take in Bangkok, Krabi, Langkawi, Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore over 14 days of authentic local experiences and amazing special stays including a unique treehouse stay in the Thai jungle in spiritual Khao Sok.

Northern Thai Highlights: following Contiki’s ‘In Depth Explorer’ style, designed to get travellers living like locals in amazing cultural hotspots, this new 8-day trip will journey through northern Thailand. Amazing #NoRegrets experiences include a cruise on a traditional long tail boat, guided bike tour of Ayutthaya and a trip on the River Kwai.

Japan – City to Slopes: the ‘Winter & Ski’ style sibling of last year’s hugely popular Japan Unrivalled itinerary, City to Slopes visits Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo and finally the Hakuba ski fields. Spanning 12 days and including a three day lift pass, City to Slopes encompasses three iconic Japanese cities, with the final few days spent skiing in the stunning Hakuba mountain resort area.

Eternal India: Although the Eternal India trip was announced earlier this year, the 2017 brochure is the first to include it. The ‘In-Depth Explorer’ Eternal India trip spans 12 days; and visits Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, Jaipur, Udaipur, Mumbai and Goa.

Contiki knows that even the most incredible travel experience can be tarnished by the wrong accommodation, so standard across all Contiki’s Asia trips are centrally located, 3-4* hotels with Wi-Fi and pools and some of the most amazing special stays imaginable. Combine this superior accommodation with Contiki’s focus on incredible No Regrets Experiences, Me Time optional and dedicated free time for more exploration and you have the ultimate Asian travel adventure.

Contiki’s 2017 Asia brochure is on sale now, with trips running from January 2017 and travellers can save up to 10% on bookings paid in full by 22nd November 2016.
