New trips, new travel styles and partnerships were all announced. Among them was Israel & Jordan – highlights include a guided tour of Petra, travelling across Wadi Rum by 4×4, floating in the Dead Sea and a visit to the Iraq Al-Amir Women’s Cooperative – an organisation dedicated to raising the financial independence of women in the region, and a Contiki Cares initiative.

Among the guests were the finalists for ‘Contiki’s search for an ambassador’. After a month-long search and hundreds of submissions, the coveted role went to five lucky agents who were thrilled to say the least. These talented agents will be kitted out with the latest GoPro equipment and are set to vlog, snap and ‘gram their way around an all-expenses paid Contiki trip to live out their wildest wanderlust dreams.

Vanessa Fletcher, Marketing Director, introduced ‘Manny’ the mannequin, the star of Contiki’s new European marketing campaign. Fletcher stated: “You get one shot at life, and Manny is here to show us that it’s those moments in between the icons that shape you – it’s in the people that you meet and those personal experiences that end up the best moments of your life!”

Fresh off the back of his Euro trip, guests took snaps with Manny as he posed in the photo booth and danced his little heart out as celebrations continued thanks to an exclusive performance by Client Liaison. The popular Aussie indie pop duo blew the crowd away with their wild performance and various smash hits, the band were followed by Groove City for disco beats to end the night.
