Coral Beach Resort Sharjah Organises Special Day for Orphans

Orphan Day at CBR - 01In keeping with its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, in association with Emirates Red Crescent Society, recently hosted a group of 100 orphaned children. As part of the initiative, the hotel organised a number of exciting activities to entertain the kids including various games. The children were then treated to a delicious spread of international delicacies specially prepared for the occasion by the hotel’s chefs.

Haytham Aziz, Hotel Manager, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, said, “Orphans need love and care and we are committed to support any initiatives to enhance their lives. CSR activities are integral to our day-to-day operations and community engagement programmes. We are grateful to Emirates Red Crescent Society for giving us the opportunity welcome and entertain these underprivileged children.

According to research, every two seconds around the world, a child is being deprived of his or her rights to belong to a family and live a normal life. The reasons could be varied, but it is estimated that 132 million children worldwide are orphans (UNICEF).
