Starting on the 15th December, Coral Expeditions’ Great Barrier Reef itineraries have been revitalised with a rainforest exploration on either uninhabited Wheeler or Dunk Island, replacing Pelorus Island.
The new itineraries ensure guests can enjoy the world’s largest living structure both below and on land, with the new itineraries showcasing more of the diverse landscapes afforded by this natural wonder of the world.
Mark Fifield, Group General Manager comments, “Our refreshed Great Barrier Reef expedition itineraries mean that Coral Expeditions ll is able to respond to weather conditions, nesting seasons and wildlife sightings, inviting guests to swim with sea turtles, explore untouched outer reefs or wander under ancient palms. Our Captain will plan each day’s itinerary to ensure unmatched expedition experiences for our guests.”
The three-night itinerary makes a perfect long weekend escape and with connecting flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Cairns on the increase, it is easily accessible for out of state city dwellers.
The new itinerary will also feature Tim Knappstein branded wine and standard beers included in the sunset drinks and beach BBQ nights.
In addition, Coral has a no single supplement policy, so as well as families, couples and friends, solo travellers are also encouraged to return to the reef.
