Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA) Stages Technology Shootout at 25th Anniversary CEMA Summit
Today’s innovators in event marketing — EventCollab, FreemanXP, Goombal, JiffleNow, QuickMobile and Rain Focus — showcased their cutting edge technologies in a fierce yet friendly battle to determine which solution leads the pack at the Corporate Event Marketing Association’s (CEMA) 25th Anniversary CEMA Summit. Each participating company highlighted the advanced new features and benefits of their respective technologies for attendees of CEMA’s Summit. Attendees had the chance to vote on a variety of criteria to determine the Technology Shootout champion for 2015.
“CEMA Summit attendees anxiously anticipate our Technology Shootout each year, when we pit great friends against one another in an entertaining, respectful, challenging competition,” said Kimberley Gishler, chief executive officer of CEMA. “We encourage our members to continuously expand and share their knowledge, and the Tech Shootout at CEMA Summit provides the perfect opportunity to demonstrate groundbreaking new solutions. Our hats go off to all who participated in this year’s Tech Shootout, and demonstrated for us once again how modern tools and fresh thinking encourage us to become even better event marketers.”
CEMA Summit’s 2015 Technology Shootout was an extraordinary competition and in a particularly close battle, FreemanXP’s second screen technology, FXP | touch, edged out the competition.
“We are thrilled our second screen platform was deemed the best technology by the event marketing leaders at CEMA,” said Wilson Tang, Senior Director, Experience Design & Digital Strategy at FreemanXP. “The CEMA Technology Shootout award validates the importance of engaging audiences more meaningfully during meetings. It also emboldens our belief that technology doesn’t hinder face-to-face relationships, but rather enhances the audience experience and will continue to do so in ways we’ve only barely begun to imagine.”
FXP | touch is a proprietary second screen platform that increases audience engagement and delivers real-time analytics for live events.
Specific benefits include:
- For show organizers: The platform provides real and measureable data that help organizers deliver more meaningful content to their members, exhibitors and partners all through a simple analytics dashboard.
- For presenters: Presenters can create more engaging presentations and monitor audience responses in real-time – including audience Q&A, comments, and social media.
- For audiences: In addition to providing real-time feedback to presenters, audiences can view session content, take their own notes, and share presentation content quickly and easily. After the event is over, they can retain their notes to extend the value of their session.
Next year’s CEMA Summit will be held at the Marriott Newport Beach Hotel and Spa, July 17-19, 2016.
