Countdown To Dreamtime 2013

In less than four weeks, 86 business events planners and decision makers (buyers) and 15 media from key international markets will descend on Australia to participate in Dreamtime 2013.

Dreamtime is Tourism Australia’s premier event to showcase Australia as a destination for corporate incentives to key influencers. The comprehensive program, held from December 9 to 13, will kick off in Melbourne with business and networking events followed by three days of educational visits to Adelaide, Cairns, Gold Coast, Northern Territory and Sydney.

Tourism Australia’s Managing Director Andrew McEvoy said the Dreamtime program would set the industry benchmark, and illustrate Australia’s point of difference from other markets in delivering outstanding incentive experiences.

“Tourism Australia and our host city partner, the Melbourne Convention Bureau are extremely excited to be welcoming qualified international buyers from key markets of North Asia, South East Asia, North America, UK and New Zealand to Australia,” Mr McEvoy said.

“The Dreamtime program highlights some of the incredible Australian destinations and experiences that will both excite and inspire our buyers to hold corporate incentive programs in Australia in the future.

“Dreamtime 2013 boasts its largest ever contingent of industry participants showcasing Australia’s world-class incentive experiences and business events capabilities, further cementing our growing reputation as an exceptional events destination and demonstrating the Australian industry’s commitment to the international business events market.”

The list of Australian industry participants includes 12 national operators, two supporting airlines and an impressive 55 state-based operators, with companies from Queensland, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia represented.

Dreamtime 2013 industry participants include:

One&Only Hayman Island (QLD). One of the most complex natural ecosystems in the world with over 33,000 species found off the coastline, One&Only Hayman Island is ideal for a conference that is catered for in style with ample space for both intimate and larger groups. Corporate and incentive groups can enjoy a host of unique sporting facilities to discover the island and the Great Barrier Reef and have the opportunity to explore the reef and all the wonders around it through special programs led by One&Only dive experts and marine biologists, as well as hiking and private island exploration.
