CPN and partners to spend over Bt100 million on ‘CPN Joy to the World’ campaign to boost year-end sales

– Special events, activities, promotions and merry decorations are planned to attract customers and tourists to the shopping centers during the festive season.
– All 23 shopping centers operated by CPN will each organize its own celebratory activities and put up massive winter decorations that will amaze everyone.

Central Pattana Public Company Limited (CPN), Thailand’s largest retail developer, together with its partners including Unilever, Mazda, Thai Life 3E796D82A2F9625102FCF2E3BD2C56231Insurance, AEON, Citibank and tenants at CentralWorld, CentralPlaza and CentralFestival nationwide will spend over 100 million baht on the new “CPN Joy to the World” campaign to welcome the coming of the festive season, with a 60-day grand gift-giving promotion planned in order to make the year-end campaign even more enjoyable for CPN’s customers. The year-end celebratory campaign will be held from 14 November 2013 until 12 January 2014 at CentralWorld and all CentralPlaza and CentralFestival branches. Customers will get to enjoy special seasonal promotions, which include a lucky draw with the all-new Mazda CX 5 as grand prizes. For every 1,000 baht spent, customers can submit one coupon and stand the chance to win the new car by Mazda. Another special promotion is offered to customers who spend over 1,500 baht as they will receive a special gift set by Unilever. The prizes are valued at 35 million baht in total. CPN is confident that this year’s festive season campaign will help draw more customers to its shopping centers and help boost store sales by 20-30% compared to the non-promotional period.

Also, seven of CPN’s shopping centers around Thailand will be chosen as landmarks for the New Year countdown for many people. There have been many positive signs in holiday shopping for the 2013 year-end period as buyers’ sentiment will be boosted by the celebratory mood ahead of the New Year. Moreover, more tourists from other countries are expected to visit Thailand during the last few months of this year, which has further convinced us that our upcoming CPN Joy to the World campaign will be able to help attract over 2 million people to our 23 shopping centers around the country and boost store sales by 20-30% compared to the non-promotional period.’

CPN will transform its shopping centers into destinations of utter joy and happiness, with festive oversize winter decorations that promise a world of endless celebrations and happiness. Each and every decorative item will represent the spirit of giving that brings happiness and family fun. At CentralWorld, there will be a 30-meter-tall Christmas tree, which will be the tallest Christmas tree in Southeast Asia. There will also be decorations of giant colorful balloons, massive gift boxes and enormous bottles that will make you feel like you are wandering into a giant’s world. Furthermore, for the first time ever, there will be a tunnel under the Christmas tree, inside which people can go and take pictures. The whimsical light decorations will make you feel like you are visiting a fantasy world. The highlights are the grand prizes of the lucky draw, which are two all-new MAZDA CX5 cars worth over 2.4 million baht in total. For every 1,000 baht spent, customers can submit one coupon for the lucky draw. In addition, three renowned artists Nuangtong Prasanthong, Pattarida Prasanthong and Wisut Pornnimit will each design a pillow under the theme Joy to the World, and the special pillows will be given as gifts to those who spend over 5,000 baht on merchandise. Another special promotion is offered to customers who spend over 1,500 baht as they will receive a special New Year gift set from Unilever. The gift sets, worth a combined 18 million baht, will be available in 9 variants and will come in one of the three “Joy to You” bags designed by the three renowned artists. Additional privileges will be given to customers who pay with their AEON credit cards, Thai Life Cards by Thai Life Insurance, Citibank credit cards, and members of the CPN Click programme will receive triple coupons for entering the lucky draw to win the Mazda CX 5, and will receive one Joy to the World pillow for every 4,000 baht spent, and one Unilever New Year gift set for every 1,000 baht spent. They will also get to enjoy many privileges and prizes on top of that.
