CPN is investing 70 million baht to fly high in the era of tourism 4.0, continuing with Thai ‘Pop Culture’ at the innovative CPN Songkran event, which will shake up the summer heat nationwide.

Central Pattana (CPN), Thai Beverage Plc, Singha Corporation Co. and M2F are investing 70 million baht to hold ‘Thailand Songkran 2017’ supporting the policy of ‘Tourism 4.0’ and creating the ‘Center of Life’ for Songkran festival to cater for the new generation of ‘Thai New Year’ revelers by connecting technology to the Songkran festive lifestyle. Enjoy the cool vibes and freshness of a digital ping-pong pool, water-gun laser war, LED water tunnel and high pressure hydro-tower as well as highlight events such as a foam party, concerts from popular artists and hot fashion shows. The fun and safe activities are focused on helping to conserve Thai culture and Thailand’s image and will be accompanied by a number of promotions and gifts that will be available from 10th-19th April at CentralWorld, CentralPlaza and CentralFestival, 17 branches nationwide.

The number of tourists visiting Thailand during the Songkran Festival period increases every year and this is the peak season of the year. The total number of flights within the country has increased 10% from last year and this will help to create a bright economy for 2017 and generate over 10 billion baht in cash revenues for Thailand, reflecting confidence from both consumers and tourists alike. The festive vibe will encourage people to come out and participate in the water-splashing activities and to enjoy shopping, eating and buying souvenirs. This is also the best opportunity for family reunions and bringing all people together.”

CPN’s shopping centers, the Center of Life of the all generations, will host Songkran festival events in order to celebrate this unique and famous tradition, to support people’s engagement and to continue culture in a contemporary style. We have created a Thai ‘Pop Culture’ by combining creative ideas with advanced technology in order to make CPN’s shopping centers the hub of the new lifestyle at every festival. CPN’s 17 branches will hold signature events during the Songkran festival.
