Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach appoints new general manager

Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of David Bowen as its new general manager, bringing with him a wealth of expertise to Coogee’s premiere beachside accommodation.

David has an outstanding track record of driving ambitious results around Australasia having led successful hotel operations in Australia, Thailand and Papua New Guinea.

David started his career with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in 2009, most recently spearheading the hotel management team at Crowne Plaza Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Of his new role at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, David said, “I look forward to leading the hotel team in delivering a fantastic guest experience which Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach is renowned, and encouraging Sydneysiders and visitors from afar to experience the intimate seaside village of Coogee.”

In December 2013, Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach completed a $1.1 million upgrade and comprehensive redesign of its key meeting and event spaces and pre-function areas. The new meeting and event spaces at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach offer capacity for up to 350 guests for a cocktail function or theatre-style presentation in the fully refurbished Oceanic Ballroom.
