Cruise lovers talk with their feet

Around 200 people turned out to the Fremantle Passenger Terminal recently for an information night on Australia’s newest cruise ship, ASTOR.

Approximately one-third of those in attendance had already booked on one of ASTOR’s 15 itineraries being offered during her first summer Down Under, which starts on December 11.

The rest came prepared with questions to assist with their decision-making of which itinerary best suits them. Cruise and Maritime Voyages did not take bookings on the night, but experienced one of their best booking days from agents the following day since launching in February.

Details will be released shortly of how cruise enthusiasts can reserve their spots for similar information nights on ASTOR in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.

The Fremantle evening was opened with an address by Professor Ross Dowling, the chair for Tourism WA’s Cruise WA Committee.
