Cruise, Rail & Tour experts on track to deliver the goods for trading partners

Australian owned and operated Holidays of Australia and the World has invested in a dynamic new team, lead by an industry veteran, to seal their reputation as the cruise and rail, and cruise and tour segment experts. The team will also be supported by a new online booking platform.

Holidays of Australia and the World has long enjoyed leadership of the fast-growing cruise and rail, and cruise and tour segment sectors, in part due to their passion for pioneering new and exclusive product. They continually research fresh destinations and unique sightseeing options, then handcraft packages and bring them to market with their passionate zest backed by a strong marketing program.

Now Holidays of Australia and the World has embarked on a growth strategy to secure their competitive advantage by developing a 24/7 online booking portal for trade partners and boost their team with new recruits including 20 year veteran of the industry, Cos Matteo.

Cos, fresh from Venture Holidays where he was National Sales Manager, joins as National Sales & Business Development Manager with a strong trade partner focus to further sharpen the company’s exceptional service and tailor-made product offerings.

Cos says the decision to develop a more user friendly booking platform online and being able to offer more product will help grow the business. “But as we all know online must be backed by exceptional customer service”, said Mr Matteo. “We want to create genuine and lasting relationships with our customers. So while it’s great to be able to book 24/7, when a travel agent wants to phone us, they’re never be put on hold. We pick up every call, every time and they love that they deal with the same consultant from start to finish,” said Mr Matteo.

When formulating growth strategies, forward-looking companies must look at both their strengths and weaknesses. Mr Matteo concurs and says Holidays of Australia and the World has clearly identified theirs. “We know we’re not everything to everybody and never will be. Where we really shine is in the cruise and rail, and cruise and tour segment sectors. We do this by packaging exclusive offerings that make our trading partners look good in the eyes of their customers. It’s a win/win all round and we invite all travel agents to work with us.”

Two further new recruits, Product Manager Matt Scott and Dani Parker, team leader of Marketing, Digital and Social Media are both committed to creating new product and super-servicing new trading partners.

Together with the new online booking portal, Holidays of Australia and the World aims to be Australia’s leading cruise and rail, and cruise and tour segment specialists.
