Cruise Ship Buddies Team Up Again At Carnival Australia

WHEN Carnival Australia public relations manager Ainsley Pope was being interviewed for her current job in cruising, it wasn’t until the second chat she let slip that she had once worked as social director on two P&O ships in Australia.

But if proof were needed of her cruising experience, a friend back home in New Zealand recently found Ainsley’s name badge (pictured) from her days sailing four separate contracts on Fair Princess and Pacific Sky during summer breaks while studying communications at university.

To help bring back memories of sailing the high seas, soon after joining Carnival Australia two years ago, Ainsley was surprised to bump into a Fair Princess colleague, Natalie Aroyan, who worked with the ship’s casino team and is these days P&O Cruises’ entertainment coordinator. For Ainsley and Natalie, their life in cruising has come full circle from ship to shore jobs in the growing cruise industry.
