Cruise tour to discover Taiwan

Since cruise tourism is rising and flourishing in Asia, Taiwan Tourism Bureau put an effort to develop the cruise tour in Taiwan. Taiwan and Honk Gong launched “Asia Cruise Fund” last year. New partners, Hainan and Philippines just joined this March. By the agreement of Asia Cruise Fund, wish to develop the Asian market.

Taiwan is surrounded by sea which boasts rich marine resources. There are six main ports, including Keelung, Hualien, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and Penghu. All surrounding with nature landscape, historical culture and convenient transportation. At the northern part of Taiwan is Keelung. It is the closest port to the capital city of Taipei. Visitors can experience the modern city here. Hualien, located at the east coast of Taiwan, is the place for enjoying the aborigine culture and marble gorge. Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung, located at the west coast of Taiwan. Visitors can visit the famous Sun Moon Lake near Taichung, enjoy the historical town in Tainan, and go around the thriving international metropolis at southern Taiwan in Kaohsiung. While the only one offshore island port is Penghu. Penghu is known as the pearl of the Taiwan Strait and the best place to taste fresh seafood.

Furthermore, Taiwan Tourism Bureau also provides incentive promotion for the oversea cruise ship docking in Taiwan. Depending on the duration of stay in Taiwan, Taiwan Tourism Bureau will provide different range of subsides. Taiwan welcome this new trend of tourism and encourage more corporates meeting and incentive in the cruise to create unique experience for participates and enjoy the beauty of Taiwan.
