Carnival Cruise Line is offering Australians the ultimate cruisey Christmas this year with sailings from Sydney to the South Pacific from just over $100 a day, delivering an exotic overseas holiday full of Christmas cheer without the expense of festive season flights.

Guests on Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend’s Christmas cruises will enjoy a day of festive family fun at sea on December 25, with all the trimmings of Christmas including Santa, snow, prawns, pudding, caroling and crackers.

Bringing the joy of Christmas to sea, Carnival Cruise Line ships feature a decorated Christmas tree and snow in the atrium, photos with Santa, a Christmas door decorating contest, Christmas movies, religious services and special Christmas menus.

During Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch, guests dine on festive favourites such as prawns, turkey, glazed ham and fish.

Around 270kg of ham, 130kg of prawns and 630kg of turkey are expected to be consumed across Carnival Legend and Carnival Spirit over the festive season.

With fares including food, transport, entertainment and accommodation, Carnival Cruise Line Vice President Australia Jennifer Vandekreeke said a Christmas cruise offered a great value, fun and fuss-free alternative for friends and families to celebrate the season together.

“Carnival’s Christmas cruises are the ultimate gift, packed with all the cheers and none of the tears. Our guests enjoy all the best parts of Christmas including fun in the sun and festive feasting, all without having to worry about expensive airfares, holiday traffic, and who is cooking or cleaning up afterwards. Our crew does it all so guests can just sit back and enjoy a relaxing Christmas break,” Ms Vandekreeke said.

Christmas cruises are priced from $1449* per person twin share for Carnival Spirit’s 11-night New Caledonia and Fiji cruise, departing Sydney on December 18, 2016.

Carnival Legend’s 10-night New Caledonia and Vanuatu cruise, departing Sydney on December 17, 2016, is priced from $1349* per person twin share.
