Cruisefusion, the wholesale division of Cruise1st Australia, partnered with US-based travel technology company Odysseus Solutions to develop the nimble booking engine that delivers a true B2B and B2C booking solution that is easily customable.

Cruisefusion General Manager Geoff Hackett said the system would transform the way in which travel agents do business with the company and in turn deliver greater efficiencies to their clients.

“It’s everything the industry has been promised but not yet delivered – being able to process a cruise, air and hotel booking with live and dynamic pricing in the one platform,” he said.

“We’ve built the booking flows so that the package is easy to use, where agents can dynamically book a fly/cruise/stay package in under ten minutes and have it invoiced out quickly.”

Cruisefusion was established in 2013 as the wholesale division of Cruise1st Australia and is in a position to deliver unique cruise holidays to its partner agencies and preferred agency networks.

Hackett, who founded Worldwide Cruise Centres in 2003, said the system had been a while in the making but the company was determined to build one that streamlined the booking process for agents and their clients and make it easier and more efficient to do business with Cruisefusion.

Carl Frier, Managing Director of Cruise1st Australasia said that Cruisefusion had experienced three-fold growth in the last two years since Hackett was appointed General Manager.

“In that time Geoff has completely re-engineered the business to the point where it now adds tremendous value to both cruise lines and travel agents, aggregating an amazing amount of cruise holidays as a truly independent operator,” Frier said.

“Under Geoff’s guidance and with the development of the new Cruisefusion booking engine agents are now able to better manage the ongoing opportunities by retailing a broad range of cruise holidays.”
