image005image001I was in Bali recently on a cruise and rather going on one of those standard mass market Bali tours, I really wanted to get under the skin of this amazing island and in oneday!

When I researched what was available, amazingly, I came across VW Limo Bali and their stunning restored VWKombis, and most amazingly found that it was run by former Garuda executive Brett Morgan, who is well known to the industry in Bali and Australia.

I met up with Brett and experienced one of their stunning VW Kombi tours, with Brett telling me that the first of the fleet of Kombi Limos was launched last year, with the feedback amazing.

The Kombis are available with a driver for full day cruising and at night they will also provide a concierge restaurant service and all the vehicles have been professionally and lovingly restored and refitted with leather seating, WIFI, soundproofing, dual air-conditioning system, remote control minibar, 220v and 12V power, an awesome eight speaker sound system with access to a large range of music, including in our case the Beach Boys, so what better blasting out of the sound system!

All the Kombis have been rebuilt from the ground up including extensive work on the engine, suspension, steering and braking systems to ensure the utmost comfort and safety for guests and if you are interested check out this building Kombi page by clicking here.

image013With two Kombis on the road when I met with Brett and three new Kombi’s under construction Brett said they expect to have seven to nine Kombis on the road soon.

With specials from around US$150 per vehicle for 8 hours including driver, concierge and fuel for 8 hours, Brett said that they are happy to tailor a trip to suit your needs, with the programme we really enjoyed including a trip to a temple off the tourist track, with an excellent and experienced guide, in depth visits to temples off the beaten track and also lunch at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay – which was superb.

VW Limo Bali also operates VW Kombi airport pickups and cruise ship pickups and of course tours, weddings, corporate events or just a group of friends, or even going surfing!

VW Limo Bali’s Kombis were also judged best VW, best classic car and best mini bus in Bali at a recent car show.

image020image016Brett also runs Private Houses and Villas and he says that a holiday in a private villa or house is quite possibly the best way to experience Bali and share it with your friends and family, whether it’s simply catching the sun whilst your staff bring you drinks around the pool or it could be discussing what you would like your personal executive chef for you tonight there is a lot to be said for a private holiday.

He says that at Private Villas and Houses they have assembled the best of the best villas and houses where you have your own staff that are there to make your holiday as relaxing and enjoyable as possible and they are for you only.

Private Villas and Houses are absolute beachfront, including villas with a pool and spa yet only a short walk to restaurants and bars, and houses with their own cinema and executive and pastry chefs and they only use villas and houses with full service staff and they regularly inspect the properties and meet with owners and managers to ensure they are training their staff to the levels you would expect for the private villas and houses you choose.
