Following a sold-out inaugural season as the “Queen of Europe’s Rivers,” Crystal Mozart once again graces the Danube with her elegant luxury and enchanting itineraries. The first and largest of the Crystal River Cruises fleet sailed from Vienna yesterday on a 10-day journey through Austria, Germany, the Wachau Valley, Hungary and Slovakia, marking the start of her 2017 sailing season.

Crystal’s most valued travel partners were treated to a series of preview sailings prior to Sunday’sdeparture, as the company hosted 156 travel professionals aboard Crystal Mozart for unprecedented back-to-back Sales Awards Galas, celebrating the top performing agents of 2016. All luxury specialists in their own right, the agents were enthusiastic about the acclaimed river ship and its distinctive luxury amenities that are cornerstones of the celebrated Crystal Experience.

Vicky Garcia, Chief Operating Officer and co-owner of Cruise Planners (an American Express Travel Representative), is encouraged by Crystal Mozart’s impact on the river cruising industry, saying “River cruising is hot! As a network we continue to see double-digit growth in this segment, with some agents truly specialising in it quite successfully.  This ship will appeal to discerning land travelers as well as cruisers who are accustomed to truly all-inclusive, luxury experiences.”

“She will take your breath away and steal your heart forever.  Be careful….once you cruise on the Crystal Mozart, you will be changed for good,” agrees Shari Wallack,  president of Buy the Sea.

“Our travel partners are our most valuable assets when it comes to sharing the Crystal Experience with discerning travelers, and hosting them on board for our annual awards gala is not only a well-deserved incentive, but also helps them continue to grow their expertise with first-hand knowledge of what sets Crystal apart,” says Crystal CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez.

Since embarking on her maiden voyage in the nothern hemisphere summer of 2016, Crystal Mozart has earned the acclaim of the world’s most discerning travellers and expert entities alike. In its annual Editor’s Picks Awards, Cruise Critic and Cruise Critic UK, awarded Crystal Mozart as “Best New River Ship.” Crystal’s acclaimed butler service is offered for every suite, along with plush king-sized beds, ETRO robes and slippers, wall-mounted flat-screen HD TVs, and Nespresso machines. Additional enticing features include complimentary shore excursions, Michelin-inspired, farm-to-table dining in multiple, open-seating eateries, and a full-service spa and separate fitness center, equipped with modern machines and cardio equipment as well as free weights.

Crystal Mozart also holds the distinction as the most technologically advanced vessel on Europe’s rivers. Throughout the ship, digital signage puts available services and port information at guests’ fingertips, including weather forecasts for the day, available spa appointments and dining reservations. Each suite offers Apple® iPad devices that serve as Digital Directories for virtually all of guests’ on-board needs, from dry cleaning and butler service to room service and dining reservations, as well as concierge and Crystal Adventures inquiries. Bathrooms also feature TOTO Washlet personal cleaning systems, offering heated seats, automatic open/close, aerated water and warm air dryer.

Crystal River Cruises will expand its luxury fleet over the next two years. Launching in 2017, Crystal Bach will be the first of Crystal River Cruises’ four new luxury river yachts, followed by Crystal Mahler and in 2018, Crystal Debussy and Crystal Ravel will join the fleet. These new river yachts will mark Crystal’s introduction of Europe’s only all-suite ships in the river category.
