First time tours to Cuba and Colombia, a new cruise in Patagonia and a special Rio Carnival departure of the popular Santiago to Lima tour are highlights of Travelmarvel’s South and Central America program for 2018.

Open for bookings now, this jam-packed program features everything from Galápagos Islands cruising to a ride on the only remaining electric train in Cuba.

This huge variety, combined with Earlybird Offers such as 2 for 1 airfares on tours of 20 days or more, makes Travelmarvel’s South and Central America itineraries a compelling prospect for agents looking to book clients on great value tours in the region.

Commenting on the launch of the new South America Featuring Central America 2018 brochure, Travelmarvel Executive General Manager David Cox said demand was high for tours of the region that combined intrepid destinations with premium level comfort and the peace of mind of an escorted tour.

“Destinations such as Colombia and Cuba are becoming more accessible to travellers and there is a feeling that now is the time to visit them,” he said.

“Travelmarvel’s itineraries give travellers the confidence to explore these emerging hotspots while ensuring their trip is all about the destination and experience and not about the logistics.”

Travelmarvel’s inaugural Cuba tour is the 12 day Havana & The Colonial History of Cuba, priced from $6,795 per person twin share. This Great Rail Journey includes five nights in Havana, meaning plenty of time to explore its cobbled streets, communist landmarks and 1950s Americana, and to savour a daiquiri at La Floridita, a former favourite hangout of Ernest Hemingway.

There’s also a ride on the Hershey train, the only electric train remaining in what was once one of the best developed networks in Latin America, and a ride on an antique steam train to the Valley of the Sugar Mills near Trinidad.

Guests who book early on this tour can take advantage of an Earlybird saving of $1,000 per couple.

Meanwhile the 9 day Culture  & Coffee of Columbia tour, priced from $5,395 per person twin share, includes a journey to the city of Armenia and the Coffee Triangle – the origin of some of the highest quality coffee in the world – as well as the grand colonial capital of Bogotá and the historic Caribbean port city of Cartagena.

Travelmarvel’s most popular South American itinerary is the 20 day Highlights of South America, priced from $9,995 per person twin share,  which takes in Santiago, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Iguassu falls as well as Machu Picchu and the lake islands of Lake Titicaca in Peru.

New for 2018 will be a special Carnival Celebration departure of this tour, which includes an extra day to visit Rio’s Sambadrome for a once in a lifetime chance to witness the annual Carnival. This tour departs February 4, 2018 and is priced from $12,295 per person twin share.

For travellers with an interest in South America’s wilder attractions, the Highlights of South America with Patagonia itinerary includes a four day cruise of the icy fjords, islets and glaciers of Patagonia aboard the small ship the M/V Ventus Australis.

Priced from $15,495 per person twin share, this 24 day itinerary commences in Santiago and re-joins the classic Highlights tour in Buenos Aires to continue on to Rio and Peru.

As is the case with all of its tours, Travelmarvel’s South America itineraries blend structured sightseeing activities and special Insider Experiences with free time to allow guests to explore each destination according to their own interests and preferred pace.

Accommodation is selected for style, as well as levels of service and comfort. For example in Peru, guests stay at the Aranwa Sacred Valley, a retreat with landscaped gardens built on a 17th century colonial estate.

All of Travelmarvel’s South America itineraries are accompanied by a tour director and a team of regional travel experts, and are inclusive of most meals, transfers and sightseeing as outlined on each itinerary.

Other Travelmarvel South America Earlybird offers also include air credits of $1,000 per couple on tours up to 19 days, as well as solo traveller savings on select tours.

In addition to Earlybird Offers, guests can save up to $600 per couple when they book as a group of six or more with Travelmarvel’s Travel with Friends Discount. Guests who book their trip and pay in full ten months prior to departure can also save up to $600 per couple with Travelmarvel’s Early Payment Discount.

All South America Earlybird offers are strictly limited and subject to terms and conditions.
