Summer is the time that visitors flock to our iconic city and Sydneysiders seek out shady green spaces. NSW’s best major tourist attraction, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, has new experiences for locals and visitors alike, including cultural tours, foodie fun, and stunning floral displays.

Be a tourist in your own town For an insightful and entertaining experience for Australian and international visitors alike, join us to uncover the Garden’s rich Aboriginal heritage by exploring plant uses, culture, artefacts and bush foods. From December 1, the popular Aboriginal Heritage Tour will increase to six days per week.

To dig a bit deeper and learn more about one of the world’s favourite botanic gardens, spend a warm summer evening at the Garden after hours. History (and paranormal!) buffs can take a Ghostly Garden tour full of spine-tingling storytelling, or visit our biodiversity hotspots by torchlight to spot our Garden Night-Life.

More a fan of the dawn chorus than the night owl? Breakfast with the Birds may be for you. Or book in with your loved ones at Sydney’s most colourful high tea alongside the snappy Plants with Bite.

A wild and rocking summer The summer meadow returns to the Garden with a stunning display of waist-high blooming wildflowers from mid-December, and don’t forget to tag #RBGSydney on your Instagram pics.

Summer in the Domain will be rocking with a host of amazing Australian and international artists visiting Sydney’s most iconic music venue. Plus, limited tickets are still available for New Year’s Eve at the most spectacular spot on the harbour.
