The impressive production, which cost more than $300,000 to stage, takes passengers on an imaginative journey from the silent screen, through the golden age of cinema, to contemporary Oscar winners. The show features song and dance numbers from some of the most famous movies in history, including classics such as “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz, “Singing in the Rain” which catapulted Gene Kelly to international stardom, “I Will Always Love You” from The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, “The Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing, and an ABBA medley from Mamma Mia.

“’Hollywood Rocks’ is a brand new production specially crafted for our guests aboard Queen Victoria,” said David Dingle, chairman of Cunard Line. “With emotionally-charged music, extravagant dance numbers and spectacular costumes, the show is an exuberant ride through the cinematic ages, featuring some of the most famous movies ever made.”

The cast of twelve dancers and four singers rehearsed “Hollywood Rocks” for several months before stepping on board Queen Victoria this month. Nick Thomas, chairman of Qdos Entertainment Group and the creative force behind the show, commented, “Qdos Entertainment is proud to be the first choice in producing high-end stage shows for Cunard’s three Queens. Everyone has been really excited to work on Hollywood Rocks, and I know guests on board Queen Victoria have been swept away by the musicality and quality of production.”

During the 45-minute performance, guests can enjoy hits from blockbuster films, including Titanic and Pirates of the Caribbean, as they sit back and relax in Queen Victoria’s stunning three-tier Royal Court Theatre, complete with the first private theatre boxes at sea.
