Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday in 2017. To spice up the week, The Langham, Melbourne has created no less than four delicious ways to celebrate this universally, time-honoured tradition of Valentine’s Day.

Plus, to make Valentine’s Day even more memorable, The Langham, Melbourne is collaborating with Cartel flowers to deliver a personalised box of premium red roses ($175.00) to be waiting at Melba Restaurant or Aria Bar & Lounge upon arrival. Now, that’s an impressive gesture that won’t be forgotten.

Breakfast

What’s that they say about breakfast being the most important meal of the day? Kick off Valentine’s Day with the object of your desire with breakfast at Melba Restaurant. Breakfast, includes freshly baked waffles, sizzling bacon, eggs made to order, smoothies, a decadent chocolate fountain and more for $59.00 per person.

Lunch

Forget bouquets for a minute, what about a buffet instead? Feast on Chinese dumplings, authentic Indian curries, made to order Japanese sushi, Malaysian wok-fried dishes and Italian pastas  as well as Melba’s famous wall of desserts and molten chocolate fountain.

Dinner

Splash out on seafood or devour duck pancakes and a rack of Moroccan spiced lamb, the choices are almost endless at Melba’s impressive open kitchen. Grilled lobster, Moreton Bay bugs, Tasmanian black mussels, South Australian oysters, sashimi, nigiri and nori rolls, prawn dumplings, pork siu mai, butter chicken curry, lamb kebabs, baked salmon in puff pastry, crispy pork belly, goat’s cheese and pesto ravioli with garlic prawns will all be on the menu and Valentine’s Day-themed desserts of Valrhona dark chocolate torte, pink chocolate choux pastry and strawberry chocolate fountain will keep romance in the air.

Afternoon Tea

The Langham, Melbourne understands that Tuesdays aren’t synonymous with romance and that not everyone wants to dine on Valentine’s Day surrounded by a sea of tables for two.

With this in mind, The Langham, Melbourne is offering Cupid’s High Tea at Aria Bar & Lounge on weekdays from Wednesday 8 February until Wednesday 15 February.

Cupid’s High Tea will bring out the best in even the most reluctant romantic as guests will sip expertly made teas accompanied by a high tea stand laden with hand-dipped chocolate strawberries, slices of chocolate truffle torte, raspberry meringue kisses, strawberries and cream macaron, Baileys mocha mousse, pink rose cupcakes as well as buttermilk scones with rose jam.

$55.00 per person or $69.00 per person including a glass of free flowing premium sparkling wine.
