Cvent Celebrates First Anniversary of Office Opening in Australia

Cvent, the global leader in meeting and event management technology, is today celebrating the first anniversary of their office in Melbourne, Australia. Since coming to Australia, Cvent has signed more than 1,000 new customers in the APAC region.

In the one year since opening the doors to a dedicated Australian office, Cvent has secured an esteemed network of in-house and event agency clients – including Meetings and Events Australia (MEA), Microsoft Australia, Cotton on Group and Salvation Army of Australia.

To celebrate this milestone, the company is launching the Cvent Express Challenge to the business events industry at the Asia-Pacific Incentive and Meetings Expo (AIME) in Melbourne.

Delegates are invited to test the time it takes to set up an event website, launch an event, register and print a badge with Cvent Express – and take the opportunity to set a new Cvent global record.

The Cvent Express Challenge global roadshow has seen delegates at IBTM World, Barcelona, Cvent CONNECT, International Confex and IMEX, Frankfurt compete with the current record set at 6.09 minutes.

Cvent brings this challenge to Australia to showcase how fast and simple the event management process can be, and to demonstrate how their world-leading technology is reinventing the way event planners manage, market and run events across Australia and Asia.

An end-to-end system from venue sourcing right through to creating an event, the Cvent platform provides event organisers with data and insights into delegate interaction that provides visibility, compliance and cost savings, to transform the success of future meetings and events.

Jack Ukil, Director of Sales – Event Cloud, Australia and Oceania, said the rapid growth of Cvent in Australia over the past 12-months demonstrates the demand within the meetings and events industry for advanced management technology to simplify processes, increase productivity and effectively utilise and protect event data.

“At Cvent, we recognise there is no substitute for the power of live events. In our ever-increasing digital world, the value of face-to-face connection is unmatched.

“There is not one industry that hasn’t been impacted by digital disruption, including the meetings and events sector. The Cvent Express Challenge reveals how our event management technology can streamline processes and provide economic value to the business of events,” said Mr Ukil.

In addition, AIME delegates have the opportunity to see Vincent Mehta, Business Development Manager at Cvent present ‘Amplifying the Power of Live Events’ at 11:45am-12:30pm on Wednesday, 21 February 2018.

Cvent is the global leader in event management technology, supporting more than 25,000 customers across 840 countries.
