The Sukhothai Bangkok proudly welcomes Chef Daniel Galmiche from The Vineyard, (awarded Restaurant of The Year in UK 2012 by Decanter Magazine) here to present a combination of authentic French-Mediterranean cuisine for The Art of Dining campaign at La Scala for five days from 15-19 October.

Born in Eastern France, Chef Daniel learned and loved to cook at an early age at his grandparents’ organic farm. He began his career working alongside Chef Yves Lalloz in the town of Luxeuil les Bains for 3 years. His career has since taken him to locations such as Sweden, Singapore, Portugal, London, where he worked with 3-Michelin Star Chef Michel Roux at the highly acclaimed Le Gavroche and Scotland where he gained a Michelin Star.

He achieved the prestigious award of a Michelin Star at Harvey’s in Bristol, maintained the coveted Michelin Star at L’Ortolan and regained a Michelin Star at the magnificent Cliveden House in Berkshire. After 20 years of Michelin Star experience, he is now Executive Chef at the award winning Vineyard, and has achieved global recognition.

At present Chef Daniel performs his skills on regional and national television, in addition to media programmes on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen with James Martin and BBC’s Master Chef. He also participates in the famous festival, Taste of London, the Henley Food Festival and Foodies Oxford.

Chef Daniel Galmiche brings with him many years of experience and will demonstrate his passion for organic ingredient mixing. He believes that eating out is one of the greatest pleasures in life, and his mission is to emphasise this at The Sukhothai Bangkok through a range of authentic French-Mediterranean recipes.
