Daydream Island Appoints Experienced Business Development Manager

Daydream Island Resort and Spa in the Whitsundays has announced the appointment of experienced industry professional Karen Everingham as its Business Development Manager – MICE.

Ms Everingham comes to Daydream Island with broad experience in a variety of senior managerial, sales and development roles in the tourism and hospitality industries.

She joins Daydream from Tourism Fiji where she was state manager for Queensland responsible for promoting Fiji as a holiday destination to the retail and wholesale travel industry and also as a conference and incentive destination.

Ms Everingham’s extensive industry experience also includes development roles with Virgin Australia, Mirvac Hotels & Resorts, Tourism Queensland and Dreamworld. She also was a national account manager for a conference and incentive booking agency.

“We are very pleased to welcome someone of Karen’s standing and experience to the sales team at Daydream Island,” said Daydream Island Resort and Spa Director of Sales Grace Lassig.

“She brings extensive tourism sales knowledge to our MICE markets and will complement the strong sales team in our Brisbane office,” Ms Lassig said.
